Competent in a range of mediums in personal and group art, drawings and paintings; from designing to handicraft; practical therapeutic sessions; recycling to upcycling

 

FACILITATING, TRAINING, TEACHING

Able to plan, organise and facilitate therapeutic sessions with individual and groups; able to recognize an individual’s potential and develop session and person-centered plan that will build upon, maximizes by using a range of strategies and mediators (tools) for greater independence; awareness of issues of health and safety and relevant legislations particularly as related to the care of the vulnerable. Eg. Equality & Diversity, Data Protection Act, Safeguarding; ability to provide a high standard of work, care and support to individuals that meets all aspects of their needs ranging from the physical, emotional, spiritual to social.

COMMUNICATION

Confident communicator both verbally and in writing

TEAM WORK

Ability to develop positive working relationships at all levels; multi-disciplinary team and ability to develop and sustain a professional network including liaising and communicating clearly with relevant people, professionals and other agencies; strong team player who is able to support and motivate others whilst also possessing a lot of initiative and good problem solving and decision making skills. Ability to work independently as well

 

ORGANISATION

Well organized with the ability to successfully plan own workload against targets and deadlines

ADMINISTRATION

Competent to paperwork; carrying out delegated responsibilities for tasks such as record keeping, report writing, managing work and individual finances, first aid and fire safety; capable of following detailed procedures and processes. Eg. those relating to positive risk assessments, person-centered care plans etc.
