ARTIST
CREATIVE ARTS FACILITATOR & ACCOMPANIER
DIRECTOR MEIN DING GALLERY STUDIO

I am a creative and versatile artist, designer, therapeutic creative arts facilitator and accompanier, a dedicated professional with over 38 years of experience. I hold qualifications in Arts and Design, Graphic Design and Ceramics, Health and Social Care, enhanced by training in Art and Spirituality, Psychosynthesis and mindful art practices. My professional journey began in creative and care-based roles, including merchandising, card and textiles designing, while also dedicating many years to working with adults, parents, carers, people with diverse abilities/needs and the elderly. Blending my unique skills with a personal philosophy that creativity and art are powerful tools for personal development and growth, drives social change, enhances problem-solving abilities and builds community. I use my deep-rooted experience to help others connect with themselves and the natural world for greater well-being.

Artistic Practice and Philosophy
As a contemplative and intuitive artist, my work is an intimate reflection of my belief that we are all a “community of hosts” deeply connected to each other and the world. My creations, includes mixed media paintings, murals and ceramics are a thoughtful reflection of my life’s journey. Having grown up with the rich textures of Malaysian culture and spending more than a decade living in London, my work fuses these two worlds. It explores my “curious wondering about being human, its connection and the relationship with ourselves and the world.” As an artisan I embrace ecological and sustainable practices, which are a core part of my craft, from eco-conscious soap making to pottery making.

Mindful Creative Arts Facilitation & Accompanier
Since 2015, I have channeled my dual passions into facilitating person-centered mindful creative arts experiences, private 1:1 sessions, workshops and retreats. I create safe and supportive space for individuals and special interest groups to develop self-awareness and mindfulness through creative expression. My experiences are designed to help people connect with themselves, others and the world around them, often by holding space in natural environments.

Gallery & Curatorial Work
In 2018, I co-founded Mein Ding Gallery Studio in Ipoh, Malaysia. I also create, curate and organise mindful environmentally sustainable experiences, events and exhibitions, fostering a community for people and other artists. My arts have been exhibited in the UK, Hungary, Germany and Malaysia, including her first solo exhibition 'Dream Within A Dream'. I am a resident artist at Mein Ding Gallery Studio in Hungary, solidifying my presence on the global art scene.
